Carl Ashmead
Hi, my name is Carl Ashmead. Even though I knew in high school that I wanted to be an accountant, I did not realize how rewarding and fulfilling I would actually find the job. Public accounting has enabled me to develop great relationships with clients as I help them navigate the complex, ever-changing tax environment.
I am a native Idahoan. I was raised in the small farming community known as the Camas Prairie. Growing up on a farm I learned to respect the meaning of hard work. As a kid I spent many long hours driving a tractor and doing manual labor. Tax season requires a similar work ethic and I embrace each year with the same dedication and determination that was instilled in me as a young person.
After graduating from Boise State University in 1992 I began my career in Nampa with Stewart Accounting. In 2004 Larry Stewart retired and I took over the firm. My staff and I continue to provide customized service for clients in areas of individual tax, business and estate tax, bookkeeping, and payroll processing.
When I am not at the office I enjoy spending time with my wife, Gayla, and my two sons, Chase (8) and Adam (6). We like to ride bikes, float the Boise River, go to parks, and travel as much as we can. As time permits I try to get in a round of golf but I definitely make running a priority.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a bit about me. Please give me a call so I can become acquainted with you in order to provide personalized assistance with your tax and business needs.
